The Client

Success Index is a UK-based startup helping families navigate the complex school entrance exam journey. The platform connects parents with trusted tutors, mock exams, and resources – all in one place.


The Challenge

Despite a strong vision and deep expertise, the founders faced a familiar early-stage challenge – articulating their story with clarity and emotion. Their website and materials explained what they do, but not why it matters. The tone felt functional rather than empathetic, leaving an opportunity to better connect with parents seeking reassurance and trust.

They needed to:

  • Define a sharper brand story rooted in empathy and purpose
  • Craft a clear vision and mission
  • Create consistent messaging for parents, tutors, and investors

Our Approach 

We started with a Brand Essence Workshop – a focused, two-hour session designed to uncover the heart of the Success Index brand. Together with the founders, we explored:

  • Their intent, values, and long-term vision
  • The real pain points of parents and tutors
  • The tone of voice that feels natural, credible, and reassuring



Deliverables

From these insights, we developed a comprehensive Brand Essence Deck, giving the team a structured foundation for storytelling, marketing, and growth. It included:

  • A brand story that captures the emotional essence of the company
  • Refined vision and mission statements
  • Core values and a “We Believe” statement
  • Defined brand personality and tone of voice
  • Key messages tailored to parents, tutors, and investors
